We took Olive to a brilliant event in Victoria Park on the weekend called Paradise Gardens. It had live music, a tea dance tent, a village fete (complete with swing ball competition or swirly tennis as we like to call it a la Charlie and Lola) and a friendly ogre! But the thing Olive loved the most was Carter's Steam Fair - an old fashioned travelling fair with classic fairground rides. It was so much fun. She went on numerous roundabouts, the carousel, tried her hand at the coconut shy where much to our amazement she hit the coconut and hooked a duck and won a flute. She also had the biggest ice cream in the world and bopped in her wellies to the music.

Oh how cool - I wish I had know about it. Looks like lots of fun despite the awful weather!
That's one seriously huge icecream!
