For every high there's a low

Welcome to the world baby Ines Grace! My sister's baby has arrived after a fairly traumatic birth, but both are doing fine. No pics yet, but she's a long baby, weighs 7lb 9oz, has my sister's eyes and light brown hair. She sounds gorgeous and my sister is doing brilliantly. I still can't believe my little sis is a mother! I can't wait to see them.

Olive's arthritis has flared up again. We noticed her ankle looked puffy so saw her specialist the day before we went on holiday. An ultrasound on Monday showed there is inflamation inside one of the ankle joints so she is booked into surgery on Saturday morning. Upside is it's great that she doesn't seem to have any pain, other than a few niggles and being a bit crankier than usual, and that she has been booked in for treatment so quickly. I'm just a bit low as I was beginning to believe that it had gone away, and maybe it was a one off thing. I'm also really scared at her having another general anaesthetic, I find that really frightening.

Congrats to your sis and I'm sorry for the news about O. I am sure it will go well, but I can only imagine how scarey it is. Big kisses from us here.
