Hot, cold, rain, sleet or snow?

Who knows what weather April is going to keep throwing at us?

Don't you just hate this time of year wardrobe wise? Every time the sun peaks its little head through the clouds I delve into my wardrobe hoping for something springlike, only for the sun to scuttle back where it came from before I have even begun to solve the dilemma of 'hmm, but with what jacket/shoes' . Nothing in my wardrobe looks right at the moment, I'm so bored, bored, bored with my winter things, but it's not warm enough to put some of my lighter pieces together yet. I bought the perfect summer dress from Toast the other day, only for it to turn frosty again. It's going to be a while before I dare bare legs in a white cotton frock - I'm so terribly impractical!

But I need a lift! I have a vacancy for a style adviser! Anyone have any brilliant tips on transitional outfits to get me through until the sun really does warm us up a bit? It's driving me crazy today as we are off to Cornwall tomorrow and I'm trying to pack. Keep your fingers crossed that the sun will shine for us. Hoping to do some beachcombing, sandcastle building and early picnicing albeit while wearing layers and anoraks I'm sure!

Well you seem to have won an apron over on Lululollylegs, you lucky thing, so that could go some way to adding a new dimension to your wardrobe because it's sure to be so lovely that you may just want to wear it out!

Other than that, I am finding a long (just below the knee to be exact) wool cardigans to be good transitional pieces of outerwear...all mine seem to come from French Connection and seem perfect for keeping out chilly winds and standing up to light rain. However, I read in the Sunday Times Style section that cardigans are somewhat past it this year...but I am ignoring that as it would mean saying goodbye to too many beloved items. Hope you have a lovely time in Cornwall. x

have fun in cornwall

no style advice (other than don't mind what style supplements tell you about cardis, they are - and always will be - fab!) but will check back to see if you get any, as I need some too...

I was going to say long cardigans too!

If it gets hot let them open and flappy.. and if it's too cold grab a warm scarf and you're away.

But the thing is... I'M SO BORED WITH WINTER TOO!!
